Where do they come from
these words in my head?
As I lay quiet and still
on my bed.
My Lord, it has to be You
here with me.
Your presence inspires
these notions to be.
And so with my pen
I jot it all down.
Praise You and thank You
This talent is found.

When? by Milly Stegall

When did my life end?
When did Yours begin?
I guess it was that moment
when I asked You to come in.

You stood a long time knocking
At the door of my heart
And I opened up to You
And got a brand new start.

Sometimes when I was foolish
I tried to keep You out
But after I gave in, I wondered
why all of the doubt?

You never cease to call me
And I'm so slow to move
I wonder if my stubborness
Ever gets to you?

I hope that that is not the case
that You are not surprised by me
I hope that You can forgive me
and cast my sin into the sea.

I hope You will help me
to go the way I need to
And help me stay humbly in your grace
because Dear Lord I need You.

Jesus will be here
Always and forever
He loves me unconditionally
without a doubt
I'm fighting a war with
the evil forces
I, in His authority,
can tell Satan,"Leave"
with a shout!

Holy Lord, my precious Saviour
blesses me richly with His favor.
He leads me and guides me
in the right way.
And helps me to praise Him
everyday!

Beauty is Christ by Milly Stegall

They say that beauty
is in the eye
of the beholder.

But I say beauty
is the Christ
who died for me.

I see only
through a glass
darkly.

He sees the person
I will grow
to be.

He works daily
on my changes,
alittle here and alittle there.

Oh the finished work
He will complete it
with kindness and with loving care.

The Answer Lies by Milly Stegall

Though my heart is breaking
My spirit is renewed

Your spirit keeps me
From what I want to do

In time, I know that
Things will work out right

But in the meantime
I'll fight the good fight

Spending days on end in prayer
Knowing that You hear, You're there

And knowing that the answer lies
In my Savior Jesus Christ

Prayer For Help by Milly Stegall

Hold me in your hand, Lord
Never let me go.
Help me with my life, Lord
let Your spirit flow.
Keep me on Your path, Lord
for Your namesake please.
I don't ever want You
to be ashamed of me.
If I do fall and sin
I plead with You, Lord to
bring me back to You again.
I love You, Lord and I wish
I'd never failed.
But if I do, please help me through
and back on the right trail.
