Righteousness and Peace

Upward and onward,
Better weather.
When we draw
Ourselves to God
And He leads us
In His Word.
The visions of Home
Become much clearer
Heaven is nearer
and God is dearer.

Almighty Lord upon the throne.
As I look up into the skies
I feel my spirit start to rise.
Knowing You are King of kings
And by Your hands created all things.
Everything on earth that lives
Every good and perfect gift You give.
More than my imagined hope
Is sorrow included in this? Nope!

The Calling by Milly Stegall

The calling is sure, it's real
It's not based on how we feel.
Choosing Jesus as our Lord
Trusting and walking in His Word,
We come to know Him as He is.
And He makes us lights and
We know we're His.
He calls us precious in His sight
As we focus on His holy light.
And with the hope that soon we'll see
His glory and His majesty.
For He promised, He did say
He'd come back for us one day.

When We Get To That Place by Milly Stegall

When we get to that place
Where the Lord sits on His throne
And we see Him face to face
There in our heavenly home
And He loves us by His grace
And we know as we are known
When we get to that place
We'll never be alone.

Christ on the cross
A reminder that He died for me.
Christ off the cross
A reminder that He set me free.

If God so loved the world He gave
Then as believers we should give
And in the giving, die to ourselves
That Christ is shown to live.

For what are we, but vessels
Empty until filled
We must share God's love with others
For with His Spirit, we are sealed.

Jesus died for every soul
Not only for you and me
So we must give our lives to Him
For all the world to see.

That Calvary love
The Risen Lord
The Truth
And be set free.

Answered Prayer by Milly Stegall

As I pray, I realize
That in the years passed by
My prayers have changed
To some degree
What I wanted then
Does not please me.
I asked amiss so many times
Fruitless, selfish prayers were mine
Thank God, You know my carnal mind
And did not answer at the time.
You knew all along
What I really wanted
And turned my heart
Toward that one thing.
And when I pray now
I'm more careful
Answered prayers come from the King.

Totally into Jesus
Totally into His Word.

He speaks to me with wisdom
He arms me with His sword.

He comes to me with compassion
Pulling me out of the fire.

He's making me more in His fashion
So my light will shine even brighter.

And He will receive all the glory
And all of the honor and praise.

And I will bow down and worship,
Worship Him all of my days.

Whatever God says He'll do
Will always come to pass.
No matter what you and I do
What God does will last.

The Road by Milly Stegall

Sometimes I wonder where You've gone
And in my mind, my thoughts are stirred
Your presence lost is hard to take
I think, myself, when this occurred.

It was not You who turned away
But, this old man, who chose a road.
Would turning around lead me back,
Release me from this heavy load?

Maybe a little farther on
The road rejoins, as if by chance.
So maybe I'm just headed home
The road is part of heaven's dance.

Divine encounters wait ahead,
On this road I travel on.
Were not for grace of God above
Your presence would remain unknown.

In frustration
I call out, Jesus!
Suddenly,
My soul is at peace,
I find rest.
Surely Your goodness
And mercy is with me
I am so unbelievably blessed!

You've gotten my attention
Now what am I to do?
I need to know how
I can best serve You.
I'll wait until You give me
My instructions, then
I'll go and do what You
Ask me to
And keep myself from sin.
So please, Lord
Let me know my purpose.

It's me again,
I'm calling on you.
You asked me
Did I love someone
more than You.
My reply was simply "No"
You asked me again,
As if You didn't know
I said emphatically
"Not more than You"
You asked me again,
I didn't want to argue.
But sometime later
I realized
That You know me
And my heart lies.
So then, I had to confess
You're true
And I was sorry
I loved someone more than You.
Forgive me, Lord
Is all I could say.
And You cleansed my soul
Right Away!

A Prayer of Hope by Milly Stegall

With a hopeful heart,
I wait for You
To supply my need.
Lord Jesus, I place
My trust in You
My heart is Yours, indeed!

It's a pleasure
To worship You
And be Your blessed child.
For nothing in this life
compares to You
For You make life worthwhile.
